Girls 1

Girls 1 is our beginner gymnastics class for school aged girls ages 6 and up. These classes are taught primarily on the “big” side of the gym and all four Olympic events are taught (Vault, Uneven Bars, Balance Beam, and Floor Exercise). The class is more structured than the preschool Super Tots class and more focus is put on learning the basic elementary skills or gymnastics. The Girls 1 classes are taught with this structure:

BMSPLIT
  • 10 minute warmup/stretch
  • Three 15 minute rotations of events
  • The rotations follow an every other week schedule to add variety to the class
  • The class will do bars every week, some type of floor/tumbling work every week, and will flip between vault and beam every other week

NO EVALUATION IS REQUIRED. Our instructors are continually evaluating their students to see who is ready to move up to the next level. 

Girls 2

Girls 2 is our intermediate gymnastics class for school aged girls ages 6 and up. These classes are also taught primarily on the “big” side of the gym and all four Olympic events are taught (Vault, Uneven Bars, Balance Beam, and Floor Exercise). The Girls 2 class is more fast paced than the Girls 1 class and a solid understanding of the basic skills are required to keep up. The Girls 2 classes are taught with the same structure as the Girls 1 class:

  • 10 minute warmup/stretch
  • Three 15 minute rotations of events
  • The rotations follow an every other week schedule to add variety to the class
  • The class will do bars every week, some type of floor/tumbling work every week, and will flip between vault and beam every other week

AN EVALUATION IS REQUIRED TO ENROLL IN GIRLS 2. Our instructors are continually evaluating their students in Girls 1 to see who is ready to move up. If you would like to schedule an evaluation please email office@youngsgym.com.

Girls 3

Girls 3 is our upper intermediate gymnastics class for school aged girls ages 6 and up. These classes are also taught primarily on the “big” side of the gym and all four Olympic events are taught (Vault, Uneven Bars, Balance Beam, and Floor Exercise). The Girls 3 class is more fast paced than the Girls 1 or 2 class and a solid understanding of the basic skills are required to keep up. The Girls 3 classes are taught with the same structure as the Girls 1 & 2 class:

  • 10 minute warmup/stretch
  • Three 15 minute rotations of events
  • The rotations follow an every other week schedule to add variety to the class
  • The class will do bars every week, some type of floor/tumbling work every week, and will flip between vault and beam every other week

 

 

AN EVALUATION IS REQUIRED TO ENROLL IN GIRLS 3. Our instructors are continually evaluating their students in Girls 2 to see who is ready to move up. If you would like to schedule an evaluation please email office@youngsgym.com.

Jr. Advanced Girls

Jr. Advanced Girls is our advanced gymnastics class for school aged girls ages 5-7. These classes are also taught primarily on the “big” side of the gym and all four Olympic events are taught (Vault, Uneven Bars, Balance Beam, and Floor Exercise). The Jr. Advanced Girls class is longer than our traditional gymnastics classes to provide more training time on each of the Olympic events. A solid understanding of the basic and intermediate skills are required to keep up. The Jr. Advanced Girls classes are taught with the same basic structure as our other Girls gymnastics classes:

  • 10 minute warmup/stretch
  • Four 15 minute rotations of events
  • The rotations follow an every other week schedule to add variety to the class
  • The class will do bars, beam and floor every week and may flip flop vault and conditioning every other week.

 

 

Participation in Jr. Advanced Girls is by *INVITATION ONLY* and AN EVALUATION IS REQUIRED TO ENROLL. Our instructors are continually evaluating their students to see who is eligible. If you would like to schedule an evaluation please email office@youngsgym.com.

Advanced Girls
